How to Get Published in Top Journals

A crucial part of the research process is communicating your findings and their implications to the academic and policy communities as well as the public. How can we go about this keeping in mind the right audience for our research, implications for the REF, and our own growth as researchers?

This event, organised by the UCL Populations & Lifelong Health Domain Early Career Network, brings together a range of speakers from research funders, with extensive experience of disseminating research findings in print, online and audiovisual media. These talks will cover:

  • What are top academic journals looking for?
  • What goes into the peer-review and editorial process?
  • The Research Excellence Framework and what it means for early career researchers
  • Using media to communicate research findings in the digital era
