Rise of the Automated Professional

The principle aim was to bring together UCL researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs and policy makers at all career levels to help promote connection, collaboration and knowledge sharing.
The Professions are being transformed under the impact of the digital revolution driven by advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data analytics and internet of things. This is likely to lead to the automation of many services in the Professions.
The automation of tasks within the professions could augment and/or replace current roles, leading to fundamental changes across many sectors.
This afternoon explored the challenges and opportunities facing us using the algorithms. We also discovered interventions that have been implemented different sectors (e.g. finance, law, medicine) and discussed how we can prepare for the future.
