BDI Visitor Call Summer 2016
16 May 2016
The UCL Big Data Institute (BDI) has funding available to support short-term visits of high-profile individuals (from academia, industry and other organisations), with whom UCL staff can develop collaborative research ideas.
Proposals, which are now being accepted, should address the challenges of Big Data, including its theoretical underpinnings, methodological developments and applications.
Visits can range from a week up to three months, and should lead to joint research publications or dissemination of state-of-the-art big data methods. All successful applicants will be asked to arrange at least one seminar for their visitor to engage the research community at UCL and beyond, and the BDI may be able to assist with promotion of such events if required.
Applications can only be accepted from permanent UCL academic staff.
The deadline for applications is 5pm, Friday 24th June, and applications should be returned to firstname.lastname@example.org, along with CVs of the UCL applicant and the proposed visitor.
Contact email@example.com with any queries.
